POST PRODUCTION - [research] Preliminary Task - "P" is for Psycho

  1. Good start!

However, I think you might have been better off using multimedia and including all these slides as one slideshow embedded within your blog.

Then to spice things up you can take two or four single slides and post them as pictures to evaluate/analyse your creative process/decisions.

This will help your presentation which is one of the things to look out for. (Kindly, read the Marking Criteria I gave you on 25/11/11)

Please evaluate what you have learned, doing the preliminary exercise.

  2. I am sure you've learned more than you written during this task.

What creative decisions did you take to change each picture and give it this final look?

Why have you decide to give it this final look?

    How did technology help creativity?

What effect do you think the final treatment of each slide will have on your audience?

How does the varied camera angles employed, tell the narrative?

What is the potential target audience for Psycho?

    What genre is it?

What narrative structure is used for Psycho?

What style and speed of editing will you have used during production of this film?

Kindly, record a more detailed evaluation of what you've learned, instead of merely recording how camera angles depict character types.

  3. Things that need to be included in your blog for this PRE-PRODUCTION PHASE (TO BE DOCUMENTED USING MULTIMEDIA):

    (1) More research into similar products and a potential target audience. (You have done no research into a potential target audience for your trailer.)

    (2) As Script Supervisor you have written nothing about the role you have undertaken. Please do this!

    (3) Your research into similar products is minimal, please look at other trailers for analysis, as these will inform your production.

    (4) As Production Supervisor, you have written nothing about what you have been doing within this role. Please do this!

    (5) There is no evidence of your own TRAILER PRODUCTION and how you are working with your production team within your blog. No storyboards, no synopsis about plot, characters or narrative structure, props, costumes, locations, etc., etc.

Please document evidence of these during this PRE-PRODUCTION PHASE because when filming starts we would have crossed into the PRODUCTION PHASE.

Kindly, read the Marking Criteria I gave you on 25/11/11.
